SMS & privacy policy

The short version: we text about your insurance, only with your consent, and we never sell your information. The full version follows.

SMS messaging terms

  • Purpose. With your consent, Roscommon Insurance Group ("RGC Insurance") sends text messages regarding quotes, policy service, renewals, claims, billing reminders, and documents you request.
  • Consent. Opting in occurs when you provide your mobile number and expressly agree to texting on one of our forms or with an agency representative. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any policy.
  • Which number to use. Our published Roscommon, Grayling, and Coopersville office numbers are voice lines and should not be used for texting. Agency text conversations are sent through RGC's designated HawkSoft texting service. Reply to the agency message you received; if you have not received one, call your office to start the conversation.
  • Frequency & rates. Message frequency varies with your policy activity. Message and data rates may apply per your carrier plan.
  • Opt out. Reply STOP to any message to end texts; reply HELP for assistance or call (989) 275-5555. Opting out doesn't affect your coverage or our other service channels.
  • No sale of mobile data. Mobile numbers and SMS consent are never sold or shared with third parties for their marketing.

Privacy policy

  • What we collect. Information you provide for quoting and servicing insurance: contact details, household and property information, and policy data.
  • How it's used. Quoting with the carriers we represent, servicing your policies, claims assistance, and communications you've requested. That's the list.
  • Sharing. With insurance carriers and service providers solely to quote and service your insurance, and where law requires. Never sold.
  • Security. We limit access to personal information to staff who need it to serve you, and we retain it as required for insurance regulation and service.
