COMMON COVERAGES TO CONSIDER
DWELLING COVERAGE - Prices are Up
In the last couple of years, with COVID, we have seen cost of labor and materials to rebuild sky-rocket from $150 per square foot of finished home to $190 or even $250 per square foot of rebuilt home.
An example being an 1800 square foot, single-story home with a basement (standard features) was properly insured for $275,000 in 2019. Today, that home needs to be insured for $347,000.
The best way to know how much to insure your home for would be to talk to a licensed contractor, asking how much to rebuild your entire home (rebuild comes with tear down and debris removal). If that is not an option, we do have a tool called a "Replacement Cost Estimator" that gives an approximate, but by no means exact dollar figure to replace your home. Give us a call if you would like to know and we can get some details to tell you what approximately the tool says you should insure for.

Most of the coverages we can offer are contained in the document below.
We always encourage you, if you have anything that is outside of ordinary (hard to define ordinary, right?), please call us. As the saying goes, there are no silly questions, especially when it comes to making sure you are covered.
